MOTM - Jerez

MOTM - Crutchlow. Great ride. I reckon he should keep the rat as a pet. He is gutsy. Would love to see him on the podium.
Edited to add Fenati- awesome.

DOTM- Ben Spies. Not good enough, particularly when you look at Tech 3. RdP bike stopping.
Dishonourable mention - the state of Jorge front tyre!

,, For Over and Above & for less than expected ~

MOTM -
Cal Crutchlow - Outstanding! I knew that the team presented the wrong bike for the 2012 photo line-up. Congrats for Tech3's deserved #1 rider.

Honorable Mention -
Nicky Hayden - Ride the tires off of it and hold back nothing Congrats to Ducati's #1 rider.
Rany DePunet - Until the bike quit, showing why he's just as good as anyone on the grid.

DOTM -
None other than Ben Spies - No bent frame to blame. He is certainly making the hastily signed Smith contract easy to manage.

MOTM - Nicky for his suberb efforts all weekend and his team for giving him a good bike.

DOTM - Valentino and his team for a pretty average effort. / Ben Spies and his team for another bad weekend

Two races in a row is a first for me for one rider - but Crutchlow, absolutely.

(Very) HM - Fenati, and HM Hayden.

DOTM - Pedrosa (not because he was particularly disappointing, but I expected him to squabble with Lorenzo all race irrespective of where Stoner was and I was disappointed that QP didn't continue..), and Spies.

Me it's hard to split
MOTM
Crutchlow or Hayden, the former for 'coming of age' and the latter for never giving up.

DOTM
Rossi or Spies, both need to get their head together.

MOTM: Casey Stoner - people were talking so much nonsense about his arm, his tire wear, his nerves... Yet nobody gets under his skin. Jerez has never been one of his good tracks, so the way he won today was simply brilliant.

I have to agree. Of the aliens, he was under the most pressure going into the race and he delivered lessons on how to cut through the field without losing time and then race pace and tyre management. On top of all, to beat Lorenzo at Jerez definitely is huge.

Honerable mention to Hayden. Too bad he slipped down to 8th, but he had little business upfront to begin with and made it as hard as possible for everyone.

I missed the Moto2 and Moto3 races... I'm starting to wonder if I should renew my MotoGP.com subscription...
That's me in the picture.

That's exactly how I saw it.

MotM: Romano Fenati - a star is born! can see him and Vinyales having and epic battle for the title (and for years to come). Honourable mention to Scott Redding's riding - loving the sideways action!

DotM: Rossi and Spies. Rossi's head seems to have gone and if he doesn't sort himself out before the start of silly-season Spies' ride will have gone.

MOTM- I don't usually go with one of the trinity, but Stoner for covering all his critics claims- "can't win at Jerez", "can't manage his tires", "doesn't know how to prepare for races", etc.. If he does this again at Estoril which is not his track either, the season is truly over.

Honorable mention: Cal- he will definitely challenge the trinity this year. And Nicky for now consistently riding "a turd" better than anyone else. Too bad he couldn't keep his early pace.

DOTM- Spies. Like Rossi, it's more than the bike now. (Rossi can't be a DOTM, as he is still predictably fighting for 9th with Barbera 35 sec. off the pace.)

MOTM - I want to give it to Crutchlow, but I really didn't think Stoner was going to stay ahead of Lorenzo. Brilliant ride. So Stoner gets the nod.

DOTM - Spies.

Casey impressed me :) .

I think Casey worked hard for that win. In the last few laps he picked up the pace and the bike was moving around every where - coming into the corner, through the corner and coming off the corner. That was the ride of a true champion - and by the smile on his dial and his reactions I reckon Casey thought so too ;) .

Crutchlow's ride was similar, very impressive. Just a little more smooth and economy to position himself to mix with the fast and loose for the pass, and he'll make the leap across the divide to the Aliens.

The disappointments were Rossi and Spies. Lets hope they 'get it together', soon!!! - especially Spies

The jury is out on Hayden; the first 10 laps were great and he looked impressive. But he faded to fall back to Rossi. The 'why' wasn't obvious in the broadcast. But he beat his vaunted team mate ;) ; how sweet it is  .

MOTM - Crutchlow, for being right behind Pedrosa at the end. Impressive 4th for sure.

DOTM - Ducati. 2 races, 28 seconds off the win for their top rider both times.

MotM: Fenati, no question. Phenomenal performance, only his 2nd race in the wet (he won the first one) and a second and a half quicker than everyone else. Winning by 36 (or whatever it was) seconds is on a different level.

DotM: Spies. I don't know what's going on there, but it's not good.

No, and they'd end up a very long way off the pace. That's a massive, massive step.

MOTM was Cal for me.

HM goes to the move back to 1,000s. Many different lines and techniques are working now, creating more moves and better recoveries, making it much more entertaining to watch. Thank you.

DOTM was Ben. He better get it sorted or we may see Cal in blue leathers next year. Not that that would be a bad thing.

Great start to the season. Six really good races out of six.
