Members in Japan - Check In Please

Postby RatsMC on Fri Mar 11, 2011 4:34 pm

To all of our members in Japan, my thoughts are with you and I hope you and your families and friends are okay.

Please let us know. I'm sure you probably have more important things on your mind than a racing forum but we are worried.

Heng? Pantah?

Hope all are well and it's just power issues that are keeping them from letting us know they're ok.

pretty fun. Turn 1's, like I said, that scary, draws

Of course you think of anyone's life being effected by events like these, but mostly people you know.
Pantah and Heng immediatly came to mind.
I hope you and yours are safe fella's. Check in, let us know you're OK.

Phil.

Something in the back of my head was telling me this but I wasn't sure. Let's hope so.

Thanks for the concern. Kobe is quite far from the epicentre, over 600Km. I think it's around 3.0 magnitude by the time it reached here. Looks like the area over there is in a real mess. There's a BBC video on youtube right now showing the water charging through the farm land sweeping houses and crops away.

Also read that 2~400 corpses have washed up on the shore, can't imagine a scene like that. Just reading the news is depressing.

Sen, thanks for letting us know. I figured you were away from it but needed to make sure.

The news now is depressing and scary. It is going to to an unbelievable amount of work and strength to recover and the thoughts of every person on the Pacific Rim are with the people of Japan. We all know we are just seconds away from this happening to us.

we're both glad to hear that you guys are okay!

The scenes of devastation reaching us via the news channels are truly frightening to behold!

Our thought are with you and the people affected by this tragedy!

Our best regards - Dave and Jean.

Since this is still stickied and I'm now an official member... I'll "check in". I'm down in Hiroshima (have been, in the general area since 1984) so the events of 3-11 last year didn't have much of a direct impact on those of us here. In fact, I was sleeping off my colonoscopy drugs when it happened and didn't see the footage on TV until several hours later...

Nice to see that people cared though. But maybe time to un-sticky the thread?

Not sure why you partially quoted me, by mistake perhaps?

Are you in the Hiroshima area as well?
