Here ya go sport.......

http://www.bikesportnews.com/news-detai ... ewsid=4897

.....much more balanced than I gave him credit for ( I just have a bee in me bonnet about his voicing of his "opinions"......I like me Aussies to be like Vermie, Westy, McCoy etc.......as in, "she'll be right, nothin' to whinge about.....pass us me helmet will ya... :D )

Or even like a Kiwi........as in Croz ..." which way does the track go, and what's the lap record ?"...brilliant.

I would not be so stupid as to criticise his abilities on the bike...........but for my own ( however irrational opinion,...which sometimes is what all opinions are  ;) ), I'd wave the flag for him if he kept his helmet on more.

Yes, I know, and do turn the sound down.

He bugs me sometimes, as I was brought up that we ( Aussies) don't complain, everything's crap, just dig in, and do your worst. :D  ;)

Rules are in the link at the bottom. That's the Kropotkin bit........got confused. ( it was well into beer o'clock when I read it ;) :D )

Better.

One must ask of ones self about the motives and the questions asked. I seriously doubt Casey was hunting down a journo out in the paddock looking for anyone who would hear him speak on the matter. And yet there is this perception of him which is quite often, unjustly, what forms the negativity of him. He does tell it like he believes it to be. If the journos asked him if he preferred Alpines over Winnies back in the 70's I suspect you would get his answer too. I am not arguing that he doesn't have a tendency to say things that more than meet a journos mark, quite the opposite, however the questions being asked are far more probing and bent to a certain slant that context is starting to get a little beaten. He just seems to keep falling for it... or maybe he just doesnt give a ...

I think this forum provides a good outlet for discussion, But I think a viewpoint such as the use of the name twat certainly deserves a valid justification.
I love riding. But not in Libya.

True...I was a bit heavy........what I meant to imply, you put in a much more succinct manner.

Casey, just shut up, ignore them, and ride the bike.

or .....

"Casey, what do you think about Ducati testing bits of next years bike this year ?"

......."Couldn't give a toss mate, got me own stuff to worry about, and good luck to 'em"

Put it right back in the Journo's court to ask a less shit stirring question, or one more relevant to your own situation/season/career.

I sincerely hope Casey does neither! I hope he instead ignores people like yourself, people that express unjustified and unsubstantiated opinions and keeps answering questions in his typical open and honest way. Our depth and understanding of the details involved in racing in MotoGP have been greatly enhanced by Casey's openness.

Woooahh....steady on, just my ridiculous wish.........not gospel, or how the world should be.

We all got different likes and dislikes, makes the world go 'round.......me, I just like watchin' bikes race....and me Aussie's to be somewhat ocker-ish and plain.

Hence my admiration of WayneG's signature in regards to the quote by the Croz ....pure Southern Hemisphere !! (.....I'm well aware he's a Kiwi......, we've got similar humour and tastes though........even if we do like to rubbish each other at every given opportunity   )

Not every Aussie or Kiwi is like that, but that's the type of rider I like. Makes bugger all difference to the world.

For me, all the politics and bullshit is rather tiresome.....each to their own, though.

It was meant to be read as tongue firmly in cheek.

Hence the smileys !

Cheer up ! :D

PS.....wouldn't/shouldn't the Journo that asked him the question about the Duck have had a fair idea of the rules ?.......... maybe not, but that's why I said make the Journo ask a less shit stirring comment.

Like it or not, Casey's said some pretty blunt things, ( who cares, people are people), and I thought the journalisim in question smacked of lowest common denomenator, sensationalist crap......."ooohh..look what Casey's said about Ducati !!"

That's just me though.........again,each to their own.

No offence taken, I'd just rather hear ALL the riders talk openly instead of restating pre approved press releases. Casey tends to speak more openly than most.

Did you include smileys?
I hadn't noticed :D

Very true, as said by Beattie when that Webber-Vettel incident happened..........in F1 they whisk them away to the motor home, no talking till they are told which politically correct, mundane response to spill forth.. They should be allowed to talk, as they are in bike-world.

Credit to Webber in that regard........as much as he can speak openly, he does.

I may not like what I hear, but at least I have the opportunity to hear it.
