Prepare to be underwhelmed my knee draggin' amigo's...
Pick her up in 2 weeks...and they say time flies...yeah right!
2006 990 Adventure, programmable Tuneboy ECU map (previous owner had a single sided exaust), G2 throttle cam (still 90° but milder in the early stages to prevent EFI snatching), alarmed, hard luggage and a tank bag!
This is how old Phil takes his holidays from now on, no more of your airline malarky for me!
I wonder if Euan McGregor needs any new best mates! (shit! you've got to be given a bike to be in his gang...buying one doesn't count...he said...without a hint of bitterness LOL!)
Never had a fuel injected bike before.
Never had a bike with panniers before.
Never had a bike with heated grips before.
Never had a bike with 2 fuel tanks before.
I actually signed up for ADVrider forum but found it all a bit overwhelming, so while it's great to lurk there I'll be boring you guys with my trips. (adventures is too cliched these days- some guys can turn a journey for a pack of marlboro reds into a blogable adventure!)
I gotta change something on it to make it 'mine', as is my way, I'm think about a MX style high front mudguard/fender. I did think about Akrapovics, but really, when you got the kitchen sink tied to the back how much difference does a few kilos and a few free'd up ponies really make? 1000 bucks worth...I think not.

I have ridden one before a 2004 model, it handled great, when we got off my girlfiend (typo..but I like it so it stays) who'd ridden but not with me before said, christ I felt like I could get my knee down in the turns! Not a good thing to say in front of the bikes owner!

I also rode 'bitch' on it to Assen for the MotoGP in '05 and slept like a baby all the way there!
