Nice pics Pantah - thanks for sharing 'em!

I'm curious though?

Do you ever go into the race track or do you just loiter around the parking lots?? ;)

It is on my list of things to do before I die, even if it is a Honda museum. ;)

Just gotta LOVE the Kwaka!
Another of my favourites in the background of the 3rd pic -- Ron Haslam's ELF Honda!

The most radical front end in late '80's racing! Awesome!

1986 -- that was the only year that Ron rode with the #5 plate.

Little known fact - he was the only Honda rider (of that time) to use a right hand side gear change.
His engine cases were said to be marked with the letters RH cast into them.

No-one seemed to be sure what it stood for - Ron Haslam or Right Hand!

Katoh's Fortuna display looks like a recent addition to the Collection Hall. The really annoying thing is that NSR 500 engine is just out of arms reach, I was mighty tempted to pick it up and run when I was there. They move it from one side to the other was in the same corner when I was there. Pipes look awfuly short on that RZ !
Great pics, no mention of your nocturnal activities ;)

I'm speechless. I've been meaning to reply all day but haven't been able to find the words. As with Gustav, those two pics just stopped me in my tracks. The others are just stuff that is unfathomable for someone living in California. So beautiful.

Pantah, I will have a VTR250 one day. Actually, it might be sooner rather than later. I probably won't be able to get myself over there but I might ask for some help in locating a good specimen. For track use only, of course. 8-)

Thanks for the great share mate. I'd love to get over there sometime.

We checked out the Bologna factory earlier this year and it was just incredible. I've no doubt the Honda side of things was top-shelf too!

Thanks again for the pics mate!

Great shots Pantah, thanks for posting them. Loved the shot of the Kwak. The pic of Waynes bike brought an instant smile and a sweet memory back of watching that bike drop into the corkscrew with it's nose in the air, all alone on a beautiful January morning during a test at Laguna Seca. Nothing like the sound & smell of a 500 with your morning coffee.
Talking about Laguna Seca . . . "I mean, everywhere's
pretty fun. Turn 1's, like I said, that scary, draws
your nut-sack up in your stomach fun."

There were a lot of nice bikes in the parking area........thousands and thousands.............The strokers are becomming few and far between here........I noticed, too that a lot of the riders here are older than me............not a good sign for the Japanese motorbike industry when it comes to selling edge cutting sportsbikes.........more and more they spend their time making girls bikes for the emerging South East Asian markets........... :|
