We managed to get the wheel and chain aligned perfectly so that the brembo rear caliper can have its bracket made up.

finished mounts with dampeners, just needs some spacers made and the hanging mounts need to be boxed to increase side to side rigidity.

wheels are from a RSV Mille factory I guess, so forks from a "normal" Mille ?

discs are switched though (left and right); not that it matters and I would probably not be bothered to switch them back

I thought I would post this here for those who appreciate craftmanship. It's a minature V12 4 stroke engine made from scratch. A beautiful piece of work. :)

That one is nice.
IF you are in to things like this check out swedish, former SAAB engine constructor, Per Gillbrands engines. He has done a lot of miniature engines and his run on gasoline and not compressed air.
In swedish but anyway, do a youtube search and you can see his Bugatti Weyron miniature v16 for example. Not as nicely done film as the one you showed though.

Showa's off a Aprilia RS250, I'm sure they are the same fork up to the RSV and MIllie models(spring rates aside). Yes well spotted on the discs Jan

Still haven't swapped the discs around Jan .............

Some progress and a few brickwalls. A manifold disappering into the lost sock black hole and 'someone' filling te Magura clutch with brake fluid instead of mineral oil prevented a start up.

Got time and inspiration to work on the bike today. Took front end, rear shock and some other stuff off the bike and then spent time to look through all the spare parts I have and try to organize and find out what I need to order.
Front end, rear damper, cranks and some cylinders are off for service, balancing and replating.

Image
I have two more cylinders and one more crank - the kit crank that is in the engine still sitting in the bike.

Image
Sorting through spare parts..

Image
I really, really like this bike. No, wrong. I love it. :D

Looking at all those cylinders and cranks lined up, it looks like you are building a 1000cc v8 two stroke 8-)

Speaking of bad ideas, this came about because we have too many bike parts in the garage:

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/s720x720/422297_2520637867651_1604448871_31870180_1060244738_n.jpg

The is a Kawi 750 H2 in a Gixxer 750 frame with a VFR swingarm. It is definitely not the home that motor deserves but it is what we had laying around. This is partially just a project to get that motor running and back on the road since it has been sitting for over 20 years. Later it will probably become the centerpiece of a far more interesting project.

Currently the frame is together but the front end needs to be swapped out. We need to source 2 carbs for it then the task of mounting it in the frame. From eyeballing it, the pipes should be relatively easy to route which just leaves fabbing up the mounting brackets.

A friend is also putting a different H2 750 into a custom Harley frame but that project is being done meticulously and with the aid of a lot of beer (read, very, very slowly).

Jan the pipe will be 'anaconda like'
Gustav I wouldn't recommend the platers in Sweden/Norway I think they send them to UK anyway. I been meaning to ask does your TZ-M have the famous TZ 12,600 brickwall?

Cylinders will be sent to the UK TSI.
IF you by brick wall mean that it is dead beyond 12600 I am not sure. It revs to 13 000-13 400 but no real point though but it isn´t going off badly but it sure doesn´t pull like Anders Aprilia....
The engine is pretty stock TZ though. Kit crank and Jolly pipes are only meaningful changes.

The blue one is getting turned in to a P5 classic racer, slow, but reliable and cheap to run.
The white one is getting restored back to its original condition.

Mind taking some measurements from the cylinders Gustav? No reason a LC has to be slow ........

What measurements and what cylinders? I have three different cylinders.

It is not slow compared to other TZ.s or RS, I can hang with early models of the 5KE Yamahas with the later spec engine, but the Aprilias are a different league.

I was talking about yzr750's LC's.
Just the cylinders that rev the most the measurement from the top of the cyl to the exhaust port. Do you normaly run 0.00mm deck height? ie top of cyl and piston are level at TDC?

I was talking slow in comparison to the diet of 150hp roadbikes that I am used to riding, and slow compared to my last two stroke race bike, but I know what you mean, they can have a surprising turn of speed for a 30+ year old learner bike ;)

Shhhhhh but the trick is suspension not the motor.
