Stoner VS Rossi, the never ending debate

Postby motomania on Sun Feb 12, 2012 11:43 pm

Ok, there's more than a few of us that are completely tired of seeing almost every topic become a debate about who's better. Vale or Casey, Stoner or Rossi, yada, yada, yada. So, from now on whenever I see a topic headed down that well known path to argument and debate about which one walks on water, is a better racer or painter, pr spinner or whatever I''m going to post a link to this topic. I invite all others that are tired of the Stoner/Rossi debate to do the same. If nothing else, maybe we can keep the other topics about what they are supposed to be about instead of the usual StonerVsRossi defecation.

You're cooperation and willingness to help in this matter will be GREATLY appreciated.

For the sake of argument I could change it to . . . . . . . . .

Roner VS Stossi (alphabetical listing used)

Besides, anyone that knows anything realizes that Scott Gray was the best ever to throw a leg over a GP bike.

Although, I'm sure that now some are completely confused, and "somebody" might be mad at me.

I'm sure he was the heaviest. An anti-wraith if you will. I use to race on bikes that weighed less than I did, so he was always a hero of mine. :D

Edit: Oh I forgot, this is suppose to be about Stoner and Rossi. Perhaps other topics will take over this thread too. ;-)

Likewise.
I'm not debating MotoGP anymore.
I realised I don't know what I'm talking about and strongly suspected a great many of those I debate with are similarly armed.
Projects, MoTM, and jokes is far as I go.
That's not a personal attack to anyone, it's just a realisation I've had about myself.
Someone should of told me 1828 posts ago!

will be no fun this thread, the Rossi v Stoner thing has to de-rail an existing thread ,

Somebody please take this thread off-topic then.
Invariably it will turn to the Stoner/Rossi debate within no time.
I'm vaguely reminded of counter steering and dilbert cartoons...not sure why

A challenge indeed!. Ok, here's a go: Rossi invented counter-steering and Stoner just copied him.

I think this place should be a place for the level headed people to just randomly come in here and relieve some stress and make a black and white decision, preferably while intoxicated.

STONER IS FASTER!

BUT VALE IS MORE FUN TO WATCH!

LOUD NOISES!

that felt good.

edit: we could debate who has a hotter GF....

So, you think Uccio's boyfriend is hotter than Adrianna's? Who is her boyfriend anyway and what does Casey think of that?

Bit of a quandry as to where to put this.

Somewhat of a unreputable source, but none the less, lets see how you blokes can twist this one to suit the "who's better, Who's best" debate.

Would seem to me ( if true) that all it highlights is both suffered at the same hand.

Oh,........still haven't seen "Moaner" clear off into the distance on the mighty H the way "Look at me !, Look at me !!" used to......

Ummmmmmmm.......Schwantz was alot of things.......and I remember shows of joy and sheer exuberance on the slow down lap after managing to drag an assortment of crudely assembled, random motorcycle related components across the line in first place,

.........but for the life of me I can't remember him taking 5 to 15 minutes to get back to parc ferme due to the length of the pre-ordained broadway production after the race.

:D

I think the monikers bestowed upon both in my prvious post suit Valentino Liberace and Casey Fogarty down to the ground..........or is that Bono Rossi and Carl Stoner ?

..............hand me the bigger spoon Igor !........stir, stir, stir....

Probably a subject for another thread but...
You don't really see any of them just bugger off into the diastance any more. I was wonderiing if it's because they get a lead and then control the distance because of fuel restrictions?

Squid, I would love to have something !!.........but as of last year he has me wondering just how much time he has been spending with W.Rainey !!!........ he's becoming far too diplomatic and........nice!!??.

........even when our dear departed friend punted him off last year.........he held some rational and decorum about it !

Hanging out to see how Colin Mamola (actually, seeing his appreciation for the female of the species, maybe Randy Edwards is the better choice !) goes on the CRT thing this year though !

DanBerto Kosinski is giving me the iggots........

I used to refer to Jorge as "Hee-Haw" (as opposed to the pronunciation of Hawhey) Lorenzo

Image

And after his rant following the LeMans incident, I thought this would be an appropriate moniker.......

Image

Like I said though, unfortunately (for the sake of fun).....he seems to have settled down.

Hope Ben Chandler gets it together this year, though I can't see Andrea Barros improving.........

Wikid sideways stuff Cam.

Masterful control, Iv'e not seen Rossi on the 800's get it so hooked up on the back wheel, mind you even on the 990's I don't recall seeing the lean angles that Stoner displays.
