In the middle of rebuilding her. Have Carbon Fiber parts from TYGA on the way to the states as we speak. Should be on the Road by late September. Unfortunately I won't be bringing her to Laguna this year.

As the title states, every bike forum needs a place to share what you ride. I think for bikers it is a way of putting a face to a name.

Anyway, here is my baby. With the exception of a few parts I put the whole thing together myself.

I'm new on the forum but wanted to show some previous and current models that I own. Used to race when I could afford it but now just a trackday guy,...boooooooo!

Ewwww, I liked the black better until I saw the paint on the white bodywork. Dude I've always wanted a two stroke and one day I will own one just scared of all the tinkering required,...is there that much jetting and tuning if your just doing trackdays every couple of months? Just scared to let it sit to much.

The question about how much tinkering you have to do is a hard to answer as it depends on some parameters.
1. how well maintaned the bike is that you buy.
2. how much documented information you get about settings with said bike.
3. how you ride and if you chase the last few hp or if you are fine with a more moderate tune.

If you get a bike that has been take care of and where you have a base setting you will be just fine and can use it as a track tool without much hassle. I have mine very moderately jetted, i.e. slightly fat, but the thing about these bikes is that they are dead easy to do service on! It took a while to get here but that was because I was a total neewbie on these kind of bikes and the bike was very badly set up and the engine was in bad condition in many ways.
Now I have found a setting with the cylinders, squish, cylinder heads and jetting that seems to be very reliable. I have changed one piston during the last two seasons, five races with practices and extra track days in between.
If I focus I change the jetting on both carbs under 10 minutes. Changing both pistons is less than 1hour for me if needed. etc. etc
They are built to race but that also means there is no stuff that is not necessary and a two stroke engine is so easy to work on.

That was my concern finding a happy medium with jetting where its still fast but also reliable. I think it would be tempting if your chasing tenths to go a little lean, leaner,...leaner,...and then... KA-BOOM. I'll pick one up in the next few years you just never know what your going to get though. When the time comes I'll be looking for good documentation and setup. Thanks!

I would say that if you are moderate with squish, not go crazy on ignition and then jet it moderately you can have ablast and a reliable bike. Do get one - they are great pieces of bikes.

+1 to this, there's nothing better than getting on a racetrack on a proper racing two stroke.

I've grew up living in Hawaii and raced there for several years. Being that Hawaii has a hugh influx of Japanese the local club I raced saw many riders with two strokes even got my chance a few times to throw a leg over and was immediately hooked! Hell,... I was hooked the first time I saw how little damage they incurred while crashing... that benefit alone was enought to lure me in.

Heres a pic from 1993-94 in a four hour race we finished 3rd overall in,...one of my buddies crashed the bike in the last hour forcing me to run the last 45min of the race,...after just completing my stint of an hour prior.

The most difficult part I remember was trying to hold to that beast with no windscreen or front fairing. Trying to keep my chin pinned down on the tank the whole time. Great times!
