Well, that Superpole session was a great way to start off the year. Very surprised at some of the results.

Great thread raisenberry777

Superpole is the race within the race,,, but,, without Bayless it has little bearing on the race itself ,, and that's great ... I can't wait for the race !! Go Spies and if not? ,,, go BMW- shake up the order ! and if not?,,, go Checa

So much to watch !!!

SUperpole = too early to tell. Strategy plays such a big part and no one yet knows the strategies so results are a bit random. Not that random is bad - if that is your intention. I'll give you an answer at the end of the season.

Can anyone help out your local idiot? From what I can figure, Race 1 starts at noon Victoria, AUS time on Sunday. That would make it 7PM Arizona US time on Saturday, correct?

Hi Rats! Thanks for all the entertainment this off season. I was wondering the same thing late Friday night. I googled world time zones and at 10:00 pm Pac time and considering we do the winter time change I found that 10 pm Friday was 1700 hrs Saturday Melbourne time. So, noon being the time for race one put it at 1700 hrs Seattle time. AZ may not do the winter time change and you may be on mountain time. If that is the case it would agree with race one at 7PM AZ time. I'd like knowing if I'm wrong. I'd like better to see the race live feed. Any help with that? Cheers. 8 d.

Live feeds coming soon in my post - just waiting for them to put the links on the SBK website. These will be accessible from anywhere in the world without the use of a proxy, and are the official streams.

Sir, your work is greatly appreciated by us here in the land of the "unauthorized". It would be fantastic if you did this for all the rounds.

Thanks for the links raisinberry - I'll keep them to one side. Hopefully my Sky+ system (for USA - it's similar to Tivo!) will record them for me but those links may well come in handy!
I hope you're able to keep this service up throughout the year!

As I type this, it is approaching 5pm (1700) EST, and http://www.worldtimezone.com/wtz020.php says it is nearing 9am tomorrow (Sunday) down there.

I believe you are in MST right now, so that makes the difference between Melbourne and you 18 hours, or -6 into the next day. That would mean the race starts in 3 hours from right now...

Any clearer?

Methinks Kropotkin or whoever controls the forum might want to try installing something like this countdown mod to avoid confusion in future.

Methinks I'm glad I found out about that. I need to do a couple of things to the website and forum soon, so I'll add this in.

Interesting start to race day with a little rain & drizzle for the local Aus superbike race after a glorious sunny day yesterday. Rain in summer at PI, who would have thought it!

The Melbourne forecast is for for drizzle clearing to a fine but cloudy day.

Cheers Jules
May you live in interesting times..

Rain in summer at Phillip Island? Who woulda thunk it?

Added on demand link to Race 1 and Supersport. Will probably stay up until next year, so you've got plenty of time to watch it. Same goes as for the streams, it's off the official site and you can watch it wherever you are in the world.

Can't say I like the new superpole format that much., the results felt more like a lottery than anything. Positions ought to be decided by times instead of tactics.
Using the 12 laps in 50 minutes format they used for wet superpoles last year would've been more preferable.

And this is much better for keep track of racetimes, since the official site only has it in CET. Less brain contortions to do.

Can't the stand the early 90s design they have though.

Raisinberry - thank you a thousand times for the links; I've put the children on eBay and the cheque will be in the mail. Blimey, when they don't even show the races going on in your own damn country AND you're blocked from the official WSBK site it's enough to make you jack five rounds down the tube of the pump-action and go looking for someone with whom to discuss the matter with extreme prejudice..

And Wow, if the Moto2 class becomes anything like as competitive as the Supersports, I can seriously imagine Valentino wanting to run... and maybe some of the others too! What a ball-tearer of a race the WSS was - so good to see Westy do what we know he can do, given the gear - less than .2 sec behind two WSS world champs. Kwak did him no major favour by picking him up (at his cost to buy out his WSS contract) and a big favour by dropping him early - 'tis Kismet, Hardy...
