Thanks for putting this up . I was noticing the lack of a WSBK thread but I don't want to add another thing to my long list of regular race duties.

Hey, is that a new track map format for Will Pittenger? It is more detailed but has some sort of funky buts to it. ( I swear Pittenger has madethis world a better place).

As for the race, I expected Byrne to be a little farther up given that he just raced here. I'll give a gumdrop to anyone that can explain how Shakey was able to race at Monza a week before the WSBK race there. According to the rules riders are not allowed practice and any circuit on the calendar except for the 6 days prior to a WSBK race. Strictly interpreted, Shakey wasn't practicing unless he participated in FP. Still, I think that interpretation doesn't account for the spirit of the rule and I imagine the FIM would agree.

Hey RB Triple Seven!
Even if the links don't work from here on out, you are still one cool dude making the setup for the first events. Thanks. 8 d.

You hit the nail right on the head Ratts. There is no way for some parst of the world to enjoy live uninterupted coverage to the great contest known as WSBK, at any cost. As long as the moron ass-holes (I wrote them and told them that) at wsbk.com have a monopoly on streaming, the sport will never reach full potiential. How can one orgainization be so intentionally stupid,,, sorry, they make DMG look like geniuses.

Some of us just keep looking for a live or recorded stream of each and every week..

A little technical knowhow and the magic word "proxy" will make WSBK.com think your computer is in another country.

It won't seem to let me download the DRM license though, so I can't get anywhere.

That's the URL of the stream, anyway, at least while it's saying the race will be starting in a few minutes. I'll check when the race comes on.

How are you watching it then? Looks like there's nothing on JTV either. Ah well.

I'm watching it on Eurosport, because I live in Europe. But there are other channels, I'm pretty sure. Good luck.

I watch using Firefox with an IE tab addon, it has never asked me to approve any DRM.
I tried using IE7 and it did, once.

It's on now.

Live Timing is not working for me though.

Live timing didn't start working until halfway through the race. It's working now.

Just noticed something - I think Max Biaggi only has one sideburn. Is anybody able to verify this?

I was getting an error message earlier, and it said this about the DRM:

DRM 2901 OK

I can't believe they penalised Biaggi, it wasn't like he gained any places.

BTW, I've been getting SS in Italian for the past 3 races now, anyone else getting the same?

Can somebody please keep Colin's data guy away from Ben's garage? And a smile that even The Cheshire cat would envy from Fabrizio. So grats to Fabrizio, not the way I would want to take a win, but a win all the same.

,second that G, ;)
Out of gas? That simply should have never been aloud to happen, regardless of regulations,, That right-their could have cost the championship for "The Ben". He earned and deserved that victory. :(
aside from that,,,, great race up, until,,, !!

Thought,,
,I know I'm in the minority, IMO, but that track seems to be lacking in challenging a few race ability fundamentals. I seems little more than twist,, brake for a chicane,,, twist,,,, repeat. Yes it has heritage and it has been the place for some epic battles (current one not withstanding) but still,,, if your strongest race talent is standing on the binders and have a rig that has great top speed,, you will do good.
Simply stated, show me a track with "less dynamics" ,, I believe that every other track on the calendar challenges more,,, or just different ?

Thoughts ? defend ? :)

SIDE NOTE,,,<< KROP << THOUSANDS OF THANKS FOR THE "JUSTIN TV" SUGGESTION,,, I WATCHED A WSBK RACE UNINTERRUPTED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A WHILE. :D :D :D :D

I agree; I'm bored of all these European circuits (Monza, Assen, Misano, etc.) that have been on the calendar since Regis Laconie had hair but I assume WSBK needs them as they are the domestic markets for some important sponsors.

Shall we start some baseless speculation on what happened to The Ben in race 1? Was he short fuelled? Or is it Senna Syndrome? AS was plagued with fuel consumption issues in his Lotus Renault days and the team always maintained that it was because he drove so much harder than his teammate. Is The Ben flogging that R1 up to and beyond its limits, riding around with the throttle WFO to hang with Team Photocopier and hence running it out of gas?
