2012 Aragon WSBK Superpole Results

Hot weather and a choice of tyres greeted the riders as they set out to qualify for tomorrow's two races.

While Marco Melandri and Max Biaggi toyed around the current lap record, Tom Sykes set a new outright fastest time well over half a second faster than anybody else, reminding us why we keep talking about him as the best qualifier by far in 2012. Six pole positions out of 8 starts this year is an astounding record.

Well spotted. I'll fix that immediately. Hopkins didn't qualify for Superpole.
