2012 Indianapolis Moto2 Qualifying Practice Result: Unstoppable Pole Man Holds Off Late Challenge

Results and summary of qualifying for the Moto2 class at Indianapolis:

Pol Espargaro has taken his third pole position of the season, adding pole to the domination of practice at Indianapolis so far. Espargaro started fast and grabbed the pole back from Marc Marquez at the halfway mark, setting a time that no one would match for the rest of the session. Marquez was forced to settle for pole, nearly a quarter of a second behind Espargaro, while Andrea Iannone put in a late charge to take the final spot on the front row.

Julian Simon heads up the second row, setting the 4th fastest time at a track he goes well at, finishing ahead of Dominique Aegerter in 5th and Scott Redding in 6th. The Moto2 qualifying session was thankfully free of the crashes which marred both Moto3 and MotoGP, with no red flags required throughout the session.
