2012 Aragon MotoGP FP3 Result: Pedrosa Grabs Lead In Wet Session

Dani Pedrosa has topped a damp final session of practice for the MotoGP class at the Motorland Aragon circuit. The Repsol Honda man picked up the pace halfway through the session to end what had been up until that point almost total dominance of the Yamahas, with the two Factory Yamaha bikes and the two Tech 3 Yamaha satellite machines occupying the top four spots, with only a brief interruption from Stefan Bradl.

Pedrosa ended the session a tenth of a second ahead of Jorge Lorenzo, who was in turn under a tenth quicker than his teammate Ben Spies. Andrea Dovizioso maintained the big Yamaha presence at the front, grabbing 4th just a fraction behind Spies, while Stefan Bradl ended the session in 5th, a third of a second off the time of the leader, Dani Pedrosa. Cal Crutchlow put his Monster Tech 3 Yamaha into 6th, making it four Yamahas in the top six, while Karel Abraham had a surprisingly strong morning session, grabbing 7th just under a second behind Pedrosa. Valentino Rossi ended the session in 8th, ahead of Jonathan Rea and Nicky Hayden.
