2012 Sepang Moto3 Qualifying Practice Result: Late Charge Rewards Surprise Polesitter

Results and notes of qualifying for the Moto3 class at Sepang:

  • Zulfahmi Khairuddin is the first ever Malaysian to take pole position in Grand Prix racing
  • It is also Kharuddin's maiden pole, taken on his 21st birthday
  • Luis Salom qualified in 5th, but will start from 10th, having been handed a penalty for the last-lap crash at Motegi, forcing him to drop 5 places on the grid. Miguel Oliveira, Efren Vazquez, Brad Binder, Alex Rins and Adrian Martin all move up one place each.

Khairuddin seems to strong at

Khairuddin seems to strong at the start of the race but struggle towards the end. I hope he can turn that around and take a maiden win in his home country.
