2014 Phillip Island World Supersport Qualifying Results

World Supersport qualifying took a few minutes longer than it should, being red-flagged briefly.

Kenan Sofuoglu set the fastest lap seven times this qualifying session, and four of those were to improve on his own provisional pole position. While the pole lap was seven tenths off last year's time set by Sam Lowes, Sofuoglu went as fast as was needed. Michael Van Der Mark, a quarter of a second off pole position, ran consistent 1'33 laps, as did Kev Coghlan in fourth place and PJ Jacobsen in fifth. Roberto Tamburini, third fastest, wasn't as quick during free practice sessions, but he managed to take the last place on the front row regardless.
